Using AI to Create a Common Language
Dara is part of a new generation of designers who aren’t afraid to challenge the way things are done. She is a pioneer for bringing AI to major fashion retailers, and introducing NewArc to established processes within the company.
Her superpower isn’t just design; it’s helping non-designers see the intent early. Dara uses NewArc to align leaders, vendors, and consumers faster; cutting sample rounds and turning “maybe” into a confident “yes.”

How Dara Uses NewArc
Customer Insights
Dara uses NewArc to visualize product ideas before they ever become samples, bringing those concepts directly to focus groups for early feedback on style and fit.
Getting real reactions at the concept stage means the team can make informed decisions about what to move forward with, cutting sampling costs and shortening the path from idea to production.

Leadership Alignment
Using NewArc visuals helps non-designers in leadership understand designs early and provide feedback before the first sample is produced.
It results in quicker buy in and fewer delays in late-stage design changes.

Sketch

“Sometimes leadership doesn't understand sketches – especially if they're not designers. But when they see an image, they immediately understand the vision. That lets us align on decisions much earlier instead of waiting for samples, which saves time and money.”
More Accurate Production
Getting design intent across to overseas manufacturers has always been one of the hardest parts of the process. Sketches and notes leave too much open to interpretation, and the back-and-forth adds up fast.
Now Dara sends realistic product renders alongside her specs, giving manufacturers something concrete to work from.
Sample rounds have dropped from 3 to 4 down to 1 to 2, and miscommunications that used to cost weeks are easier to avoid when everyone is looking at the same image.
“A picture speaks a thousand words. You don't have to speak the same language to understand when you have a picture, helping us communicate with our manufacturers even across language barriers.”
Personal Projects
Outside of her corporate work, Dara is developing a custom footwear concept and using NewArc to bring vendors into the vision early.
Instead of describing an idea and hoping it lands, she can show exactly what she’s imagining, which moves the conversation from “interesting” to actionable much faster. She’s applied the same approach to her bridal design work, using renders to align with clients and vendors so the making process is smoother from the start.
NewArc has also given her a way to build marketing materials around concepts before they’re even in production.
